Its architectural style borrows from ancient Swahili Style with distinct high makuti roofs, ivory Danish floors, wooden beams, Lamu doors and impressive African and Far Eastern Artefacts. Most of the furniture is made on the property, at the villa’s workshop. The gardens are lush and well-maintained with mature palm trees from the Villa’s nursery. WEATHER:
The equatorial geographical position is responsible for the average temperature of around 25 °C. There are two dry seasons – from December to March and from June to October, when temperatures can go over 30 °C. There are two rainy seasons – from mid-April to May (“longer rains”) which is associated with the Southwest Monsoon (known locally as Kusi in Kiswahili) and in November (“short rains month”) which is associated with the Northeast Monsoon (known as Kaskazi in Kiswahili).
